Ironsage - Day 8

Good morning! I started off today by heading to the town plaza, to check the tree... and sure enough, it has grown! It's still only very small, and it has a lot more growing to do, as the town does. :)

I've finally been able to pay off my house expansion. I just need a lot more furniture to fill up all the new space I have! It's still quite cramped in here... but hey, my Big Ben model from Gulliver helps add a small piece of sophistication to the room, I suppose.

Today on Main Street, the new flower shop has finally opened! It's run by Leif, a rather jolly and flower-passionate sloth. Even though he's probably thinking about flowers all day, he's a nice fellow and does a good job with his shop!

Also, today Gruff has moved in! He was busy unpacking, but we managed to have a quick chat before he got back to work. Though he's a little bit strange, I figured he'd be an interesting character around town... not nasty one though, I hope!

T-Bone caught my attention while I was walking through town, and invited me over to his place. It was quite cozy in there, as there was a fireplace to stay warm beside, as well as a comfy looking couch. I'm not totally sure why he was displaying to Russian dolls... maybe he has a whole other side to him. Doll collector T-Bone?

On my way out, he thanked me for coming over once again, and asked me to rate his house. Even though I'm picky and could've nitpicked a whole lot of flaws, including the soup precariously perched where it could be tipped over, I told him it was awesome with a smile on my face.

I helped make some deliveries, including taking a surprise present from Blaire to Agnes, and collected some fruit for a few of the townsfolk. It puzzles me when they ask for fruit as they're talking to me beneath an apple tree... comes off as just a bit lazy. But hey, I don't mind... it's a simple task and it makes me look helpful! :P

Isabelle had told me upon joining the game that Tortimer was here to see me about going to a Tropical Island. I felt guilty when she said she'd be too busy to go, although I think she enjoys working all day and night... that's just how Isabelle functions.

I went to see Tortimer, and he explained that the tropical island was a relaxing place to play games and to collect new things... someone would start making stops at this town so I'd be able to visit the island from time to time. I hear the bugs on the island are worth tons. I'll be going there every day!

It began to drizzle as the afternoon went on. I have to say, I think I enjoy rain here more than a bright, sunny day. The music that plays is relaxing and the rain gives a new, fresh feeling in the air.

To close my day in Animal Crossing, I started my first PWP by asking Isabelle to help me set up a donations stand for a design sign outside of my house. I don't know what I plan to do with it just yet, but I'd like to start off with this one so I can unlock some more fun projects in the near future!
